I'm not really into something that's too harmonized and polished, whether in clothes or interiors. I prefer a diverse mix with stories attached to each element. I love a character-filled place like Miquel Alzueta's. Well, not exactly like his probably because his space has a throng of Prouvés, Perriands, and Matégots to name a few. He is a master when it comes to antique dealing, and obviously has a clear understanding of what works well together.
I love white walls and herringbones. The white walls can serve as a canvas for whatever it is you're gonna place inside your house. The effect is that of an art gallery's! Not everything needs to be expensive for it to be right. Like I said before, my mom cultivated a love for things that wasn't about price. It's about what you like, and what will make you happy.
