Marco Polo's Oktoberfest and New Chef De Cuisine

Just like I previously mentioned, one of the best things about Marco Polo's Cucina is their adherence to quality. The buffet has a menial spread compared to the rest in the field, but the food is really good. Right now, Cucina is highlighting Bavarian dishes in celebration of the Oktoberfest! The festivity includes different German beers, of course, to complement the treats!

I had a field day with these bovine beauties: Beef Cheek, Beef Roll, Osso Buco! I can't pick a favorite in this trio because they are all seriously flavorful and fork-tender, too!

The Osso Buco is one of the specialties of Marco Polo's new Chef de Cuisine's, Giuseppe Rivoli. It will be a mainstay at Cucina.

Another favorite of mine is the Currywurst. It's rich, sweet, and just a tad bit spicy. I initially got one piece just to give it a go, but I ended up eating two whole sausages! The Assorted Sausages in Sauerkraut are pretty good as well. I like the Currywurst better, though.

I love this Couscous with Grilled Vegetables! This was my rice substitute! I ate it with all the Oktoberfest dishes and even paired it with a hefty serving of seafood and seaweed. I didn't think it would work with the latter, but it's surprisingly good!

This was round one. The Polenta {yellow square} is included in the buffet as well. There's Spätzle and Frikadeller {German Hamburger}, too.

Round 2

Yes, I did substitute rice with couscous, and that should've been the end of it. However, the smell of Cucina's paella being cooked was irresistible! I just had to have one small paellera.

Here's two Chef Rivoli creations that I had one too many of: Beet Salmon and Gravlax! Both are perfect over a slice of rye or without. A dollop of crème fraîche makes the latter extra special!

Leave some room for the desserts, specially Marco Polo's signature cake, Chocolate Haven. It's composed of chocolate mousse, vanilla filling, marshmallow, and fresh strawberries. I also like their Tablea Chocolate Cake!

Cucina is open daily for lunch {12 noon untill 2:30 PM} and dinner {6 PM until 10:30 PM}. The buffet price starts at PhP 1,500. Children 6 years old and below can eat for free. Children aged 7 until 11 are charged half the price.
