Moms Who Rocked at the Met Ball 2012

The recently concluded Met Ball (properly termed as The Costume Institute Gala) once again caused a stir among the stylishly eager crowds waiting to get a glimpse of their favorite celebrity style mavens.

Dubbed as the Oscars of the fashion industry, The Met Ball is held annually at the Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

This year's Met Ball theme is "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations." It's been reported  that Vogue's Editor-in-Chief and co-chair of The Met Ball, Anna Wintour, requested her editors to wear something pink to pay homage to Elsa Schiaparelli's love for the said color. 

I've been checking my twitter feed for updates as to who were the best and worst dressed celebrities of the event—specifically, the moms.

Here are my choices of  celebrity moms who rocked at this year's The Met Ball:

Sasha is fierce in a sheer Givenchy gown that shows off all her ooh-la-la curves! I love that her make-up's lighter than usual. No need to highlight her face because we all know how beautiful she is.  Jay-Z, you lucky guy, you.

Jessica Alba is always a style stunner. She definitely looks like a golden goddess in this Grecian gown by Michael Kors. Her hair styled on one side completes this picture-perfect look. Gorgeous!  

Mrs. Cold Play pulled off this side boob-baring satin mini dress by Prada really well! She looks amazing! How I wish I could look this good, too. 

 The ageless Colombian beauty, Sofia Vergara is absolutely breathtaking in Marchesa! 

This black sequined Givenchy gown hugs supermodel mom, Giselle Bundchen in all the right places! 

Let's not forget about The Met Ball Queen herself Anna Wintour in a white gown with bejeweled lobster embellishment on the side by Prada. Her palest shade of pink fur stole is to die for!
