Desperate Housewives superstar, Eva Longoria, looked every bit a stunner while delivering her amazing speech at the recently concluded Democratic National Convention.
Longoria played a role higher than just being one of President Obama's star supporters at the DNC 2012. She was named the national co-chair in Obama's re-election campaign along with Los Angeles' Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
Drop dead gorgeous even in a simple royal blue dress that blended well with the stage's background, Eva Longoria talked about the progress that President Obama has made throughout his days as the Commander-in-Chief. She also emphasized about the higher taxes imposed by Romney on middle-class families. “That’s not who we are as a nation, and here's why: The Eva
Longoria who worked at Wendy's flipping burgers—she needed a tax break. But the
Eva Longoria who works on movie sets does not," she said. The crowd roared with enthusiasm and gave her a standing ovation.
She also talked about her family's humble beginnings and her struggle to get into college because of lack of financial capability. "I signed up for financial
aid, Pell Grants, work study, anything I could," she stated with clarity and heartfelt honesty.
I've long admired Eva Longoria because she's more than just a pretty face. She definitely does not belong to the shallow (heavy euphemism) crowd of Hollywood stars that a lot of people seem to glorify. She's beautiful and smart. A lethal and rare combination.
You go, Gabby!
