Hollywood Stars at the Democratic National Convention 2012

Some of the best Hollywood stars came out to support the re-election of President Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention last Thursday night. Although some reports said that the star wattage has died down a bit this year than in 2008 - with the likes of Oprah and George Clooney missing - the ones that did attend seemed to have wowed the eager crowd.

Some reported that the lack of celebrities is mainly due to the fact that their appearance does not coincide with the Democrats image. Political expert Rob Taub, on the other hand, said that the lack of celebrity support is because Obama "over promised and under delivered."

I don't know which one is true. All I know is that the Hollywood attendees this year delivered well. Quality over quantity perhaps? Here are some of them.

Eva Longoria

The beautiful actress is a known Obama supporter for a long time. She is also the national co-chair of Obama's re-election campaign.

Jessica Alba

One of my style icons made her way again to this year's DNC along with his equally gorgeous husband, Cash Warren.

Scarlett Johansson

ScarJo stressed out the importance of voting to the young crowd. "You know who I'm voting for. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for. I'm here to ask you to commit to vote," she emphasized.

Kerry Washington

For those who are still unaware of who Kerry Washington is, she is the former lover of the U.S. President....in the hit television series Scandal. When Olivia Pope talks, people listen. She got the crowd's attention starting with her love for the first three words of the Constitution, "we the people."

Mary J. Blige

The award winning singer performed a song that's very fitting for the said convention since it talks about unification - One (originally a song by the greatest band on earth, U2!!!).

Thanks for viewing! ☺
