Biblio-Mat: Book Vending Machine, Anyone?

Is this cool or what?
Monkey's Paw bookstore in Toronto has found a new way to give importance to old books. They added a "vending machine" for books in their store called Biblio-Mat.

The antique looking machine was built by Craig Small. It works like a typical vending machine. You put in money {$2}, and the machine spews out a book. However, unlike other vending machines, you cannot choose what you're going to get from the Biblio-Mat. There is no display glass on which products inside the machine can be viewed. So, there is that element of surprise in every use, which is in line with the bookstore's slogan in a way - Careful what you wish for.
