We've seen it during Paris Fashion week, sported by fashion philes everywhere, actresses, and a future Queen of England. Yes! They've all gone skinny! I'm talking about skinny belt, people.
A skinny belt is undeniably a cardinal fashion accessory. It's a fashion staple and a must-have. It was common in the 1950's and was usually worn with dresses with bubble hems. Since fashion is cyclical, skinny belts are back in vogue...and with a vengeance!
I love how skinny belts can subtly define a waist or add a simple touch of pizazz to an outfit. I have a strong penchant for patent skinny belts with bow right now. I'm particularly obsessing over the Hobbs Invitation Jacinta Belt {below}. Too cute!!!
The uniqueness of this piece is in the bow. Instead of the very common two-bunched bow with tails, the Hobbs Invitation Jacinta Belt has a four-bunched bow sans the tails. It makes the whole thing all the more charming, don't you think?
The bow adds both an elegant and dainty feel to a dress. I'd love to pair it with a sleeveless floral printed A-line dress or a simple plain white cap sleeve dress with a boat neckline. The look is very polished and chic! It's also perfect to cinch in a loose-fitting dress. I.Need.One!!!
Channeling Jackie O, yes? Love it!
