A lot of US based food chains have been invading the shores of Manila as of late! Could it be a big sign that our economy is truly improving or we're just all slaves to good food? I'm going for the former. Positivity!
A new addition to the lot is IHOP. My boys and I were over the moon with excitement upon hearing the news that IHOP is opening its maiden branch at the Bonifacio Global City {BGC}! We're big IHOP fans! We seek the said chain {and two other all-day breakfast restaurants - Carrows and Coco's} to indulge our craving whenever we're in the land of the free...home of the brave. With more than 1,500 locations all over the US, it's not difficult to score a few of their famous pancakes.

IHOP's pancake syrup flavors. Blueberry was not available. |
To say that I love pancakes would be a total understatement. I'm obsessed with those fluffy flat cakes, but not so much with the time they're originally served {forever a nocturnal ninja); hence, the appreciation for restaurants that serve all-day breakfast.

New York Cheesecake Pancake PhP 285 |
I was glad to be reunited once again with IHOP's New York Cheesecake Pancake! The name itself can give you the good kind of goosebumps. The buttermilk pancakes with generous pieces of cheesecake is already enough to make one swoon. The addition of large pieces of plump and juicy strawberries, whipped cream, confectioner's sugar, and loads of strawberry syrup makes it overwhelmingly good! Sin today, repent in two months! No, one year!
I mix the Strawberry Syrup with a little Butter Pecan because I believe in the saying that "we only live once so take in as much carbs as you can". I thank you. *curtsy*
IHOP has options for health buffs such as reduced-fat dressings, hold the bread on dinner entrées, ask for less cheese...that sort of thing. *yawn*

Silver Five PhP 195 |
Son 2 loves the different pancake syrup flavors of IHOP and can't really seem to choose just one. So, he ordered the Silver Five {mini pancakes with a strip of bacon and your choice of eggs} and pour a different syrup on each. He mixes the syrups too sometimes, just like momma!

Split Decision Breakfast PhP 325 |
This one I like too, but not as much as our eldest boy! He wolfed down the Split Decision Breakfast {French toast, sausage links, eggs, and two strips of bacon} so fast! IHOP's French toasts are equally good as their famous pancakes. They're dense and the slice is thicker than an average loaf. If you're into French toasts, I suggest that you order the Stuffed French Toast Combo. That one's a killer! I wanted to order one but we wouldn't be able to finish it anymore. It's not a lost opportunity though 'cause we're going back for more! Rhymer?

Big Steak Omelette PhP 325 |
Hubs ordered the Big Steak Omelette. It comes with a short stack of buttermilk pancakes {below}. You can also add PhP 50 to substitute the original pancake flavor for a different one and PhP 75 for hash browns. I don't know if my eyes deceived me or what, but I find the portions {especially the pancakes} smaller than the ones served in the States. They're still very filling though.
This is not your run-of-the-mill type of omelette. They incorporated some of their pancake batter into the mix, making the omelette fluffier, thicker, and extra, extra good! The omelette is scattered with strips of steak, sliced sausage links, tomatoes, green peppers, and grated cheddar cheese. Pour the salsa over the omelette for extra zing!

Splashberry PhP 175 |
Our eldest washed down his meal with Splashberry {a refreshing concoction of fresh strawberries, orange juice, and lemon-lime soda}; while our youngest's drink of choice for the day was IHOP's Lemonade.

Lemonade PhP 175 |
Smooth, rich, brewed coffee {IHOP's own blend} was my drink of choice. It's good and unlimited! A cup comes with what they refer to as the Never Empty Coffee Pot. I chose the decaf, by the way. Not as hardcore as I used to be.
