The school year has gone by really fast! Yesterday was the last day of school for my boys. That made my boys a bit sad. After all, they won't be seeing their friends for a good two months or so. I, on the other hand, was quite happy! No more waking up early!!!
Summer is definitely here! I'm sure each and every one of you can feel the scorcher right this minute. Hotter days are coming, guys!
Summer time means fun activities for kids. Last year, we enrolled our boys to the McDonald's Kiddie Crew Workshop. It was actually their second year as Kiddie Crews. Our youngest is joining the workshop again this year without his big brother. The big brother is literally big already and feels embarrassed to be in the company of "little kids".
The McDonald's Kiddie Crew Workshop is on it's 21st year. Last year, more than 30,000 kids all over the country joined the workshop!
Originally, the workshop includes fun activities such as burger-making, the Ronald dance, apron-making,
singing of the Kiddie Crew song and a talent workshop. According to McDonald's, this year's program will have additional activities such as the Kiddie Crew Dance-exercise!
There is also a graduation at the end of the five {5} day workshop and chosen attendees will receive awards for being either a Certified Kiddie Crew Dancer, Certified Kiddie Crew Artist, Certified Burger Maker, and Certified Station Trained!
What we like best about the McDonald's Kiddie Crew Workshopis the underlying attribute: importance of work values and social skills. These are priceless. You and I both know that those two factors are necessities when our kids are all grown-up. With how fast the time is going, that'll be like tomorrow! Just preparing them for the inevitable, that's all.
It's really a great experience. I'd join if they're accepting adults. Really. I wanna man the drive-thru counter, wear the headset microphone and maybe have some McFlurry while waiting for the customer or something.

Registration Fee: PhP 550 - includes shirt, cap, bag, ID lace, apron and meals for
each child.
Registration is currently on going at all McDonald's branches nationwide.
The workshop will start on April 1 and end on May 31, 2013.
