While most girls dream of living in castles with their prince, I fancy living in a cute cottage that houses hobbits, dwarfs, and a family of bears. They're cozier and has a lot more character than big, ol' fancy castles. I will forever feel young if I live in one! It's like living in your favorite storybook, a Thomas Kinkade painting, or living in a doll house!
I particularly like those with thatched roofs. I didn't think that this roofing method would last long, but apparently, it can last up to 50 years! They are natural insulators and are also environment-friendly.
My love for cottages is one of the reasons why I love going to places like Carmel, Ca. and Seaport Village in San Diego. I feel like I'm in a Brother's Grimm fairy tale every time I'm there. Such beautiful places to visit!
