My Dream Wedding That Didn't Come True

What's your dream wedding or what was your dream wedding? Did it come true? Mine didn't.


My dream wedding was that of John F. Kennedy, Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. The hush-hush ceremony took place in the First African Baptist Church at Cumberland Island, Georgia. The lovely bride and handsome groom said I do's amidst lighted candles. It was so romantic and intimate. There were only forty people invited!
I wanted something like that - to get married inside a very small shack in a remote area somewhere outside the city. I didn't where to find one. That was the main problem. It was a far-fetched idea and eccentric according to my father {God bless his soul}. 
I don't have any qualms about my wedding though. It wasn't intimate {550+ guests}, but it was beautiful. I think what bums me the most is that I wanted JFK, Jr. to be my groom. Yeah, that's what's eating me up.

The unembellished but very elegant Narcisso Rodriguez silk crepe gown with bias cut Carolyn wore completely charmed me. The simplicity of the dress exaggerated her beauty. I love that she kept her hair in a low messy chignon. It added a relax feel to a formal attire.

Along with the billion others, I mourned the death of this famous couple. They were so young and so in love! It was such a tragic end to a great romance. This part, I don't envy. No siree!
