The much talked about performance of Lee Grane on The Voice {which became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter} has prodded me to belt out a couple of songs...at home. My voice is far from Lee Grane's, but a little less terrible than Cameron Diaz's. This is the reason why I do my karaoke minute when the boys are out somewhere. Their laughter and teasing's not good for my shining moment. *flips hair*
Sharing with you some of my favorite karaoke songs. Take note, I give an all out performance whenever I sing - veins bulging from my neck, distorted facial expressions and all. Really divaish!
1. Alone - I get a mean headache after singing this one, but I love hitting the high notes...when and if I hit them.
2. Dancing Queen - love Mamma Mia's version more.
3. We Didn't Start the Fire - this tongue-twister's historical significance is as great as the song itself. I had to research each and every personality and event in the song when it came out back in 1989. Why? Why not?
4. I Will - this works best with my kind of voice plus I adore Love Affair, don't you?
5. After All - cheesy, but good.
6. Live to Tell - Madonna. 'Nuff said.
7. My First, My Last, My Everything - this one's for my mister man.
8. I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing - I 'd always picture myself at the Carnegie Hall belting out this tune with a full orchestra behind me, wearing a gown and suspended in a harness.
9. Jesus Take the Wheel - Mine's alright. This one's still the best!
10. Where Do Broken Hearts Go - I can do a pretty good version of this Whitney Houston classic. I will definitely not be booted off a plane.
