Antonio's has far established their take on the world of good food, so this post is just another mere testament to a truth.
I, for one, is a big fan of the Antonio's chain. The first time I tried their maiden restaurant was back in 2000, I think. It was my in-laws who first told me about Antonio's. I was immediately smitten by the quality of food and the overall dining experience.
The house where Breakfast at Antonio's is currently located used to amaze and creep me out at the same time. It was an old {almost dilapidated} house that clearly had a great potential. I would always tell my husband {then my obedient boyfriend} whenever we pass by the aforementioned house on our way to his parents weekend home that it resembled the Laperal Mansion. "It would be a shame if someone knocks this down", I said.
Thanks to Chef Antonio Escalante {and his architect}, the once eerie house is now a magnificent establishment. They really did a great job in renovating the place. Excellent!
I don't want to bore you with a long explanation on why I like Breakfast at Antonio's, so I'm just gonna give it to you straight: the food is superior. Wait, I'm not done yet. The service is exemplary and the view is to-die-for.
It was a big blow when they closed it down a few years ago; but, it's back now to wow us once again! This is our third time to have a hearty breakfast at the place since it reopened. I wasn't able to blog the first two because I'm lazy. I'm too lazy to even give you an excuse right now for my laziness that's why I went straight to clear admission.

Brewed Coffee {Refillable} PhP 180.00 |
You can't go wrong by starting the day with a creamy cup of joe! Lost in my thoughts while waiting for my coffee, hubs nudged me and said, "You're imagining that you're in Downton Abbey again." He was referring to the servers wearing french maid dresses at Breakfast at Antonio's, similar to what the servants at Downton Abbey wears.
You know that you've been married for far too long when your husband knows how your brain functions. This is why I will lobby to make marriages renewable by 5 years. Just like a driver's license, the marriage can be forfeited by offenses. The upside? Both parties will make an effort to please each other if they want to stay together. Drop a comment if you agree with me and let's get this thing done!
I would sometimes tease our eldest son that his face is developing hollowed crisscross patterns due to his love for waffles. To say that that kid is obsessed with waffles is mildly putting it. That said, it was no surprise that he ordered, well, Breakfast at Antonio's Golden Waffle! It's crisp and light. Topped with butter and burnt syrup, it becomes heavenly.

Eggs Benedict with Pancakes PhP 270.00 |
It's a cardinal sin not to order Eggs Benedict when you're at Breakfast at Antonio's. It is a great way to start an indulgent day. An epicable dish made from the freshest ingredients. The taste of the rich poached eggs blended well with the saltiness of the smoked ham and the tanginess of the hollandaise sauce. Divine!
The eggs benedict comes with two stacks of pancakes. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy but I still like Malcolm's Deli's version better.
Kid 2 {being a kid that he is} is all about simplicity when it comes to meals. His choice of Bacon 'N Eggs is still at par with complicated dishes when it comes to taste. The bacon had the perfect marriage of salty and smoky flavor. Our youngest requested for the strips to be extra crispy.

This Bacon, Mushroom and Cheese Omelette is another favorite of both my husband and I. It's a flavor packed dish composed of strips of bacon, assorted mushrooms w/ either gruyere or cheddar, black olives, slice of banana bread and hash browns. It's deliciously satisfying! The serving is big enough for two persons.

Breakfast at Antonio's is one of those restaurants where you really get an amicable cost-to-benefit ratio. As a consumer, I say that's pretty much a win-win situation.
