Okay, this upcoming trend, I like! I'll take comfort + style any time over barbarity + style. Sure, stilettos can make any woman look uber hot, but they uber painful too!
The slip-on sneakers trend is actually more of a rehashed trend than an upcoming trend. Vans Slip-Ons are fancied by skateboarders due to the waffle grip soles {adheres better to the skateboards}. They didn't appeal much to fashion's upper echelon until now.
I've always liked slip-on sneakers though. Ease of use factor itself is something to rave about. Now that the reemergence of this iconic footwear is far hotter than it's ever been, various brands have come out with their own cool versions! Above are some of the slip-ons that I'm heavily palpitating for right now. I actually have the Vans Checkerboard Slip-Ons. I bought them to match my sons' slip-ons years ago. Still the best pair for me! Nothing beats a classique!

There was a time when I thought Sean Penn was a real eye candy. Sean Penn sporting a pair of Vans Checkerboard Slip-On Sneakers {and killer abs} in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".
