Seattle's Best Coffee is one of those coffee chains that has every right to aggressively branch out - given their topnotch concoctions - but doesn't. I'm no business expert, but I guess there's some silver lining to that. A little of anything makes the heart grow fonder, yes? Case in point - the release of seasonal drinks. You gotta admit, it was a smooth segue.
There are four flavors for SBC's 2013 Christmas drinks - Eggnog Frost, Gingerbest, Roasted Hazelnut and Cookies & Mint. All flavors come in hot and cold versions.
One of the best things I like about this batch is the presentation. The word that best describes it would be 'festive'. They really took a lot of time to make them look extra enticing! The colors and theme takes me back to the time when Barbie was still my BFF and Fiesta Carnival was the go-to place during the Christmas season.
I love coffee. Plain and simple. A friend of mine once told me that the composition of my bodily fluids are 30% water and 70% caffeine. That's an exaggeration. I say, even 50.
I frequent nearby coffee shops. Actually, those and bookstores are my banks. I do my regular deposits with zero interest and no chance of withdrawal. Whatever. #YOLO, right?
Let's start with my favorite amongst the four flavors: Eggnog Frost. The base is white chocolate mocha; eggnog and cinnamon vanilla are added to the mix and topped with whipped cream and peppered with silver candy beads!
I love that it's not too sweet and the flavor of the eggnog is highly evident in the drink. It's alcohol-free, but if you want it with, you can just add some bourbon {from your own collection} to it for that authentic zing. It's fantastic without, by the way. But, you know, it doesn't hurt to add a few drops or something. Just saying.
Roasted Hazelnut comes in a close second. It's mocha infused with hazelnut and coffee syrups. A generous amount of whipped cream is added on top as well as three colorful snowflake candies of various sizes. Hazelnut bits made the drink extra delicious!
Gingerbest has the cutest topping of all! A very cute - not to mention delicious - gingerbread man perched on top of the whipped cream, surrounded by red and green Christmas tree sprinkles! This is a little bit sweet for my liking, but good nonetheless.
Cookies & Mint is an Seattle's Best Coffee Christmas classic and a big hit amongst youngsters. Mint syrup is added to the classic mocha as well as crushed Oreo cookies {who can resist this?}. Though a fave of many, I'm not too much into this. Mint and mocha? Not my mix.
Seattle's Best Coffee's 2014 Dream Journals
Collecting planners has become a Filipino Christmas tradition {sort of} as of late. I was able to redeem 6 planners in a span of three months once. I don't know why I did that. I was shaking from all the caffeine, but was truly happy with my planners. There's a big chance that I'll do a repeat this year given the cute layout and fillers of Seattle's Best Coffee's 2014 Dream Journals!
What's your color? Charcoal Gray, Brown, Peach or Purple?
The CD alone makes me super happy! I love the compilation - mostly jazz version of popular tunes.
A new bookmark to add to my growing {often misplaced} collection.
I like that the pages are not categorized into dates. You can use it for other things, not just planning or jotting down your family and friends' birth dates. Doodling, FLAMES, mind maps? No one's too old for 'dear diary' stuff, y' know?
- PhP 3,000 worth of freebies
- Monthly calendar
- Coaster
- Stickers
- Writing and special pages
The best feature of this journal? The proceeds will benefit the children of World Vision. I support WV. I hope that you will too.

I love their Christmas theme this year! It's very FAO Schwarz! Kinda like Duncan's Toy Chest from Home Alone 2. It's very festive {my vocab is limited} and definitely not run-of-the-mill!
