Felix has established a strong presence in the rows of restaurants that constitutes much of Greenbelt 5 for a couple of years now. My husband and I have been to the said restaurant a few times in the past, but this time, we joined our fellow food warriors to explore more dishes at Felix.
The restaurant is named after the patriarch of Chef Florabel Co-Yatco's family. It's simple, easy to remember and has a personal value.
Felix is a fine-dining restaurant that offers fusion dishes from various cuisine modes. The dishes are said to be an assemblage of Chef Florabel's travel know-how.

My fellow food warriors and I started our gastronomic experience at Felix with the extremely crispy fried pork belly chips. My tummy was begging for garlic fried rice while I was munching on these!
The Jeje are deep fried chicken wings doused with a blend of restaurant-style sweet and spicy sauce. The flavorful sauce seeped through the tender meat making every bite enjoyable.
Mariana PhP 795 |
Amongst the holy trinity of protein sources {fish, meat poultry}, fish is my ultimate favorite. The Mariana - grilled lapu-lapu with prawn salad, three-grain risotto and asparagus tempura - turned out to be gratifying. I liked the three-grain risotto the most. The combination of textures and tastes was good.
Ala KC PhP 425 |
Hubs opted for Ala KC - mixed grilled vegetables in artichoke and olive oil with pine nuts and feta cheese. It's very filling and satisfying but not extraordinarily good.
Mactan PhP 695 |
I liked Yen's {The Tummy Traveler} Mactan - grilled prawns with dried scallops, chili, cucumber, radish, XO sauce, and brown rice risotto. The shrimps were fresh, plump and really delicious. The brown risotto was average. I liked the three-grain risotto better.
