Johnny Depp and Kate Moss

My throwback this week is all about romance. I'm paying homage to the epitome of a cool union: Johnny Depp and Kate Moss.

From the bedraggled look to the sophisticated badass style, these two made a lot of Gen-Xers swoon with envy...myself included. You can't blame us. Bad boy with ovary-busting looks and a gorgeous, innocent-looking supermodel? Too much coolness. Cliché, but cool.

Misdeed aside, I equate their romance to that of Bonnie & Clyde's. Intense and electric. It was a match made in grunge heaven.

Years later, Kate Moss revealed the kind of paramour Johnny Depp was to her. It made me love the guy even more. "There's nobody that's ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit", Kate said. "I was lucky to be with Johnny. He taught me a lot about fame. He told me 'never complain, never explain'. That's why I don't use Twitter and things like that," she added.

Simple. Easy to remember. True.

Hypothetical question from my husband: "If Johnny Depp asks you to elope with him, would you do it?" I didn't say anything. I just scoffed. It was a stupid question; a no-brainer. It's like asking me, "Do you want a second serving of lechon {roasted pig} plus two cups of steamed white rice?" YES! The answer is always yes. Yes with feelings.
