A simple collinear structure with a great view constitutes my dream home; two factors that are very much present in Steve McQueen's Palm Springs' house.
The King of Cool's 1960s home is located on top of the Coachella Valley. Neile Adam's {first wife} said that Steve McQueen loved the dessert despite the constant blowing of sand. I like 60s-designed houses; layout is clean, has an open plan, and adheres to the 'simple but elegant' dictum. In Steve's case, it's simple but cool. Muted opulence is the kind of interior design I fancy. To wake up to a great view everyday would be the ultimate luxury for me.

Is that an Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman peeking on the right? I couldn't find a similar photo with the chair in full display. Looks like it though.
Compared to the usual houses of Hollywood stars, Steve McQueen's home is quite modest. Looking at the photos of his Palm Springs abode, there's nary an obvious extravagant wow factor except for the man of the house himself. Well, him and the view. Just the way I love it!
