Love her songs. Adore her style. No surprise here though. She's French. They always do style right.
Due to her sophisticated casual style, Françoise Hardy has been an inspiration to a lot of designers ~ from Paco Rabanne to Rei Kawakubo. In fact, Rei Kawakubo's famous brand name, Comme des Garçons, is a modified version of one of Françoise Hardy's songs.
She's extremely shy, an introvert, wore minimal maquillage, had a simple hairstyle, and draped in simple clothes, but the overall outcome is outstanding. A lot of men are drawn to her. She's Mick Jagger's ideal woman and Bob Dylan refused to continue his concert until he meets her.
Women are not spared from her strong charisma as well. I, for one, find her muted elegance very appealing. She doesn't demand attention. Well, as a known truth, a natural superstar doesn't have to scream to be noticed, right?
