I love dated pieces! Well, not all; only the lovely ones that catches my fancy like these vintage travel posters below from the Golden Age of Travel {1920-1940}. A.M. Cassandre {poster artist and typeface designer} was said to have started the Art Deco posters in the early part of the 1920's. Based on Cassandre's creations, various fonts arose, such as the Bifur, Acier Noir, and Peignot. These posters were probably taken for granted back in the day, like what we do now to whatever's abundant. Sure, the rarity factor adds to the appeal, but it's the aesthetic quality that makes these vintage posters highly covetable for me. I want them all!
