I'm not really into mobile phones. I mean, I don't see the need to buy every new model each year. I only bought my first iPhone because of the emoticons; shallow, but true. My husband and our friends kept injecting emoticons in their texts, and it translates as Chinese characters in my Nokia 6300. Yep, it was a genuine case of FOMO {Fear of Missing Out}.
As we all know, a simple necessity such as a mobile phone can be amplified to a luxurious excess. My FIL's friend got a Vertu eons ago. I told my husband, "Why would he buy such an expensive gadget? That's too much!" I followed it with a classic reasoning of the bitter and envious: "Even if I have the money, I wouldn't buy that." Hubs then said, "because he can." That quickly shut me up.
Having said all that, I still find these Mobiado phones awesome. Before we go any further, you have to know that it costs roughly around, uhm, $3,000. Yep, that info gave me a headache, too! Anyway, I like them because of the mini artistic feature included: hidden hand-painted replicas of Vincent van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, and Piet Mondrian's famous artworks.
Piet Mondrian's Composition A
Gustav Klimt's Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I
Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night
Some tech reviews say that Mobiado phones' are built with topnotch components {the screen is sapphire crystal}, but the hardware is underwhelming. If you still want it, you can get one here!
Hold on! Before you go, please like my The Mommist's Facebook page {on your left}. Thank you!
