Yes, I know I said black and white are my two favorite extremes, but even if I like monochromes, that doesn't mean I detest the vibrant hues. Well, only if I can pull off a genius mix of colors a la Martino Gamper and Francis Upritchard, that is.
The chairs he created for the 100 Chairs in 100 Days project were eccentrically amazing. I love chairs. I don't know why I love chairs. I just really, really do. I palpitated heavily when I saw the Vigna at Dimensione. Anyway, back to Martino Gamper and Francis Upritchard's home - at first glance, they look chaotic because of all the colors, but everything's in apple-pie order. Nothing seems boring; almost all the pieces are immediate conversation starters.
