One Fine Steak Night at House of Wagyu Stone Grill

House of Wagyu Stone Grill Greenhills

We came, we saw, we conquered House of Wagyu's meat offerings with utmost passion! Seriously, who can say no to prime cuts of meat? With the exception of vegetarians, I doubt if there are others who will decline succulent, tender, and juicy wagyu steaks.

House of Wagyu's principle is quite simple, yet paramount. Their main focus is on sourcing superior ingredients. They don't believe in piling up additives to make the dish exemplary. They let the quality of the ingredients do the talking.

So, you're probably reading this because you're a devoted carnivore just like me, right? Well, either that or you're one of my siblings, which means, I forced you to read this post. Anyway, I'll try to make it worth your while. Ready? Great! Let's start with an aphrodisiac!

Casanova's breakfast staple {actually, it's raw oysters, I just really wanna mention him} were perfectly baked with creamy sauce, bacon, and parmesan. It's not overly seasoned; just a healthy briny taste that was quite addicting. This was a fantastic way to start the hearty evening.

An unfussy gambas made extraordinary by well-sourced shrimps. Soooo good! Layers of garlic flavor coats the juicy, medium-sized shrimps with an added touch of zing. I would prefer this to be a little more oily though. Soaking up that garlic-infused oil with a piece of baguette is heavenly.

House of Wagyu's salad portions kept us all pretty much satiated. Each order is ample enough for two. The Mediterranean Salad is a deluxe melange of crisp lettuce, tomatoes, prosciutto, black olives, and cubes of feta cheese.

The Shrimp and Scallop Salad, on the other hand, kept me satisfied hours after I've devoured it. I'm a shrimp and scallop lady, so my vote is on this one. It's a collection of pan seared scallop, buttered poached shrimps, mango chunks, and a heap of sweet and slightly tarty strawberry vinaigrette.

Then came this light yet creamy Vegetable Soup which was just perfect in preparation for the main event: meat! Glorious meat!!!
House of Wagyu Stone Grill Greenhills tenderloin

The smell of wagyu steak sizzling atop a hot stone wafting through the air turned my hunger pangs into a complete hysteria. I mean, man, that was simply amazing! Speaking of sizzling, you'll be asked to wear an apron in order to protect your clothes from all the spatter.

Remember what I told you about House of Wagyu relying heavily on well-sourced ingredients? They let the quality of the meat shine through by seasoning them with a dash of plain 'ol salt and pepper. To put sauces is a discourtesy to the beautiful meat. One other thing, you have to flip the meat as soon as it reaches your table. If you let it sit for a long time, one side will be well done; meaning, it will ruin the great piece of meat.

The Wagyu Tenderloin is naturally fantastically tender out of all. You can cut through the filet with complete ease, and devour each chunk effortlessly. The tenderloin had a slightly crisp outer layer with a uniformed pink middle. Delicious!

The Wagyu Top Sirloin was bursting with really good flavors, too. I couldn't think of anything that would make the experience better. Every tender mouthful was extremely satisfying. *sigh*

Ribeye is my favorite cut. First, it is arguably the tastiest amongst all. Secondly, it has generous pockets of fat which makes it flavorful and juicy. God, I love that! Fat dripping down to the plate below from the hot stone ensures a healthier version of this precious meat. I don't care if it's stuck within the fibers. Watching the well-marbled flesh cook was complete torture. Well, we were all rewarded greatly in the end.

House of Wagyu Stone Grill Greenhills dessert

There is, of course, always room for dessert. Always. Both roosts on frozen granite, by the way. A decadent slice of Flourless Chocolate Cake with double scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with a lone cherry and trickled with chocolate syrup was pure bliss.

The Cheesecake {comes with the same ice cream, but this time, it's topped with stewed mixed berries} is worth sampling as well. Obviously, these are not for dieters. But you know what? It's worth the extra, extra calories! Just share it with your friends and you'll be fine. Do you I have to mention it? Okay, here it goes. Brace yourselves...YOLO!

House of Wagyu is a real romantic hotspot in Greenhills. This is the place if you want to impress your significant other. If she's not impressed with everything, something's amiss. What are you still doing with her? I'm kidding!

By the way, the service is excellent.
