I'm having a serious case of interior lusting right now! Daphne Javitch's sleek and sparse Lower East Side apartment is awe-inspiring! Much thanks to the large windows, the absence of curtains, white walls, and brilliant design scheme, the area looks extra expansive yet homey. I love that the TEN undies designer and owner's books and glossies are fitly stacked on the floor instead of a wall-mounted book ledge or shelves. I also love how the wood beams break the apartment's wall-to-ceiling color uniformity. The former costume designer revealed that she can't stand an overstuffed closet. That sore point clearly extends to the rest of her home. Adore!!
See what she did here? A few statement chairs can instantly bolster a stark room!
Painted brickwork with taped photos of Daphne Javitch's style icons including my own picks: Françoise Hardy and Joan Didion.
Onward and Upward!
