Scout's Honor - one of the most exciting food store concepts that came out last year is putting the chill on us all! Behold the seriously amazing bastardization of the humble milkshake!
Aside from the howja-come-up-with-that-flavor cookie varieties and the famous create-your-own cookie, Scout's Honor has a strong list of flavored milk since day one. I've tried a couple of the said milk, and they're really fantastic! My son can down three in one sitting!
I don't know why I made that statement with a tinge of pride. I should be ashamed.
Anyhoo, Chef Miko Aspiras' naturally overly creative brain wanted something better to come out of something that can already be considered as the best. Only he can confuse the superlatives.
So basically, you can now mix a flavored milk and ice cream with - you better be ready for this - cookies!! The result is an earth-shattering shake!
In this place, being weird is celebrated. You can go all-out psycho with your combos. Actually, Chef Miko encouraged us to choose the most unusual blends. Most of us did. My friend Gerry had the Dark Chocolate Potato Chip Cookie with Nutella Milk and Chocolate Malteser Ice Cream!
I let Chef Miko choose for me. He asked what I fancy the most and told him that I like these and this, but they didn't have them. Boo! But he gave me something that's just as good...probably even better! A fantastic mash-up of Strawberry Milk, Peanut Butter Cookie with Marshmallow, and Dark Chocolate Ice Cream. That thing's crazy good!!!!!
If you prefer your milkshakes as being milky rather than having a super thick consistency, this one's for you! Who has time to go on a battle with a straw by sipping ultra thick shakes? Life is already a struggle. I don't want my milkshakes to be. What?
Sometimes, some of the flavors get lost in the process, but not in this case. I was able to pinpoint each delicious ingredient that made me fat in each sip.
The appearance alone is a test of self-control. I am actually craving for one now. That Matcha Green Tea Milkshake sure looks great, isn't it? I want one. I really, really want one now. Actually, I need it. It's 31 deg C outside but feels like 55 deg C! WTH, Manila?! Chill! Have a milkshake!

Make sure to bring your kids when you try out Scout's Honor's Milkshakes! They will definitely have fun crafting one! When in doubt, ask the staff. They are both very knowledgeable and helpful. If Chef Miko's there, give him a carte blanche, sit back, and prepare yourself for some amazing concoction!
