I'll definitely wear sneakers until my grandchildren cry in embarrassment. Hot on my lust list is the Veja Esplar. Esplar is named after a Brazilian NGO that supports organic cotton farming families in Brazil. I like both the Extra White and Gold. The design is simple and the price point is not heart attack inducing.
High end brands {e.g. Valentino Garavani} have embraced the sneakerdom by polishing it into a beyond juvenile status. The prices of those are de trop, though. I'm not ready to sell my kids yet for a pair. Veja is, at least, still obtainable. Oh and one more thing, they're eco-friendly, too!
