Let's Eat: The City's Most Trusted Food Guide is Now on TV!

With the spike in culinary choices and the craving for gastro information, a trusted food guide is needed. Not just any food guide with mere rhetoric, though. A food guide that's created by those who understand food! Let's Eat magazine gives a nation starved with all the good gastro finds just that.

Two years ago, the first issue of Let's Eat was released. It was a small magazine with a lean team, but with very big ambitions: to have the best content and the best photographs of the dining destinations featured every month. Mikey Belmonte {grandson of The Philippine Star's founding chairman, Betty Go-Belmonte} was publisher, Don Jaucian the editor, Gabby Cantero took the photos, and Spanky Enriquez took care of the text.

By the end of 2014, after a year and a half, Let's Eat officially became a part of the STAR Group of Publications.

Spanky Enriquez and Stephanie Zubiri

Let's Eat magazine is now transitioning into a much bigger medium: television! Finding hosts for the new show was not difficult. As it turns out, both were already members of the STAR family. Stephanie Zubiri-‐Crespi has been in the food industry for years, as a restaurateur and food columnist for the broadsheet. Spanky Enriquez was a PBA sportscaster before becoming a marketing and social media consultant for some of the best restaurants in the country.

STAR Lifestyle columnists and culinary experts themselves, Claude Tayag and Cheryl Tiu, will also serve as segment hosts.

What I love most about this new magazine-turned-TV-show is the diversity of features. Hauteur is shunned; definitely shunned. They highlight both the upscale restaurants and street eats! And it's Spanky's profound weirdness versus Stephanie's subdued demeanor. This is gonna be one hell of a show!

Let’s Eat TV premieres on September 30, 2015, at 8 p.m. on The Lifestyle Network. Regular episodes will air every Wednesday, 8 p.m., with replays every Thursday, 11:30 a.m. Do check it out!

Onward and Upward!
