It's hard to veer away from the usual sometimes especially when my kids are with me. To them, Wee Nam Kee is all about Hainanese Chicken period; like it's the only dish on their menu. I like it, too, but a little variation every now and again won't hurt. We tried the new offerings of Wee Nam Kee that are dubbed as the United Flavors of Singapore! These, by far, are the latest addition on their menu that I really, really like!
Submerged in a flavorful bath, the pork ribs were not surprisingly very tasty and tender. I had to ask for extra, extra cilantro. Actually, I want the entire top covered with it, but they don't allow it. I love cilantro!!!

Singaporean Beef Noodles |
Wee Nam Kee's chicken broth comes separately when you order the Singaporean Beef Noodles so as not to let the noodles turn soggy. The beef brisket's flavor and texture was a winner the first time I had a go at this. Though the taste was still satisfying, the texture was a little impaired the next time I had it. A third visit is needed. No qualms there.

Claypot Chicken Rice |
This is the one I enjoyed amongst the three! The Hainanese Chicken Rice is topped with tender chicken chunks, Chinese chorizo, black mushrooms, and onion leeks. Everything was drizzled with a little bit of oyster sauce and flecked with a union of spices. Delicious!
