H&M caused a stir when they released their new fashion collab last month. The H&M x Balmain is a huzzah for Kardashian fashion disciples {or in Balmain's case, army}. There's also another news from the brand that created a big buzz: a Muslim model.
Mariah Idrissi, the London-based model who appears in H&M's ad for the brand's Close the Loop campaign, is a breath of fresh air! It's an awesome and bold move by H&M. It's high time that a Muslim is included in mainstream fashion. There has been so much negativity and bigotry towards the Muslim community. I'm not a Muslim, by the way. I just never opted for the fallacy of composition. Plus, the world is forged in variance.

Idrissi is in a quest to make hijab an accepted style statement. In her interview, she stressed she wants to "combine modesty and fashion. I want people to accept that you can be fashionable and you can be modest." And maybe someday, someone can 'break the internet' by doing exactly that.
