McDonald's x Coca-Cola 2015 Signature Glass Collection

I'm a very nostalgic person. I value dated things whether they are authentic or reproduced. I guess I'm just naturally curious about how life was back then. If you're like me, you will find joy in these limited edition 2015 Coca-Cola glasses by McDonald's! The companies have been producing these glasses for 8 years now. This is my 4th set, I believe.

I like these better than the multicolored glasses because they come in the original Georgia green color. The color is a reference to the state where Coca-Cola started. 

The Hutchinson bottle is not included. I just added it for photo purposes. Did you know that the Coke bottle years after Hutchinson was fashioned after a woman's dress? It's called a hobble skirt. I just find this reference pretty interesting since some men describe a sexy woman as having 'coke bottle curves'.

There are six limited edition glasses. Each glass is date-stamped representing the year in which it was released and the milestone that accompanies it.

1899 - Coca-Cola was created in 1886 in Atlanta, Georgia but it was only in 1899 when the carbonated beverage was first sold as a fountain drink.

1916 - the bottle was revamped with a diamond-shaped label. The shape of the bottle during this time was inspired by a cocoa bean.

1955 - the year when Ray Kroc opened the first McDonald's in Illinois. It also represents the start of a partnership between McDonald's and Coca-Cola

1961 - the bottle was registered as a trademark of Coca-Cola.

1994 - the brand slogan 'You Can't Beat the Real Thing' and the famous Polar Bear were launched.

2015 - marks the 100th year anniversary of the hobble skirt bottle by Root Glass Company. Chapman Root was asked to make a highly recognizable bottle; something that a person will be able to recognize by touch in the dark!

Old {kinda} is cool!

The McDonald's x Coca-Cola 2015 Signature Glass Collection is already available in all McDonald's branches! To get one, simply add PhP 29 to any McDonald's meal! I'm hanging on to this one! I just saw someone selling the multicolored McDonald's x Coke glasses on eBay for more than $80 already. These might be of good value in 50 years' time. You'll never know! I watch the American Pickers. So there.
