The Swedes have mastered the art of urbane minimalism. Fact. It's almost annoying that they get it right every single time. Seriously, from wristwatches to home interior! And now this -- Eytys {pronounced as 'eighties' - it's spelled with a 'y' to emphasize Gen Y} Sneakers by Acne's Max Schiller. It's bare except for the grosgrain loop, and that in my book is fantastic!
The last time I got obsessed with Swedish kicks was back in the late 80s to early 90s. I bought every color of Tretorn! I still like them to this day. I think Swedish brands have that longevity factor in them. They rarely do trendy. They opt for classics; something that won't make you cringe when you see a throwback photo of you wearing a pair.
I like the Nubuck in Black high-tops and Canvas in White. No surprise there. I'm feeling the Canvas in Wine and Suede in Green, too! And then there's also the Eytys rucksack. Damn.
Onward and Upward!
