Mad for Lobster Night at EDSA Shangri-La's Heat

There's another reason to feel good about Friday..well, that is, if you're a lobster fiend {there's probably a handful in the world who aren't -- and the reason is mostly due to an allergic reaction}! It's LOBSTER NIGHT every Fridays at EDSA Shangri-La's Heat!

A few words of caution: if you love lobsters as much as my friends and I do, seeing the delicious crustaceans bunched up near the entrance will give you a tingly feeling deep down inside. Akin to watching Mr. Darcy tell Lizzy: "You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you." Mr. Darcy ruined me for all men.

Anyway, a negative vampire {purge them from your life forever!} might tell you to "relax. It's just seafood." It's not just seafood. It's a lobster!

You can choose from any of the pre-cooked lobsters {Bamboo Lobster, Slipper Lobster, Rock Lobster, etc.} and have them enhanced at the lobster cooking station below.

Here are just some samples of what my friends and I asked the gracious chef to cook for us! And you can have them all to your heart's {or stomach} content!

You can also just opt for the steamed lobster with clarified butter or the baked lobster with cheese or if you're feeling extra creative, have the chef whip up something that's uniquely your own!

The all-you-can-eat lobster extravaganza at Heat is not just all about the glorious crustaceans. There are different stations that will cater to your non-lobster cravings, too. Make some room for roasted suckling pig, prime rib roast, dim sum, kebabs, cured meats, delicious desserts, and so much more!

I went a little bit crazy with the raclette. I had too much prior to eating lobsters along with prosciutto, melon, and honey. I had some more after I was done eating lobsters, and then I complained about how fat I am.
