Tenya is good for lots of things; and now, it's even better with their latest offering, albeit limited: Snow Crab Tendon! According to Bloomberg, snow crabs are "one of the most expensive type of seafood and the most popular" in Japan. I was expecting it to be beyooonddd the usual price range of Tenya. Surprisingly, it's still pretty much non pocket-burning at PhP 415. If you factor in the quality, then it is a complete bargain.
The snow crabs are imported from Japan, and are part of Tenya's Winter menu.
The Snow Crab tendon is a seafood lover's quick fix bowl of pleasure. Apart from the snow crab, it also includes premium grade scallop, black tiger prawn, enoki, nori, and beans. It is very filling and delicious! The batter is very light. You don't have to play hide-and-seek with the snow crab.
If you prefer a heftier version, you can order the Snow Crab Soba Set! The basket is composed of the kakiage, black tiger prawn, green beans, premium grade scallop, and snow crab. The rest of the set includes a bowl of steamed Japanese rice, soba noodles, and the sauces.
The Snow Crab is only available until the second week of January 2016. Don't pass up on this chance to get your fill of snow crab! It's really good! Better with lots of dontare sauce!
