A Mother's Day City Suite Retreat at F1 Hotel

First things first: I like F1 Hotel's City Suite better than the one-bedroom Fort Suite. The latter one's good, too, but this feels so much better for me. Because of the City Suite's open floor plan, the room looks much bigger than the Fort Suite.

It has two double beds; a sitting area; two television sets; an en suite; A/C; complimentary coffee, tea, and two bottles of water; and my boys' favorite - the portable JBL Bluetooth speaker. They're not hard to please, really.

There's a sitting area right behind the pair of double beds. The staff had to add an additional bed for my eldest son. He's just too big to share a bed with my youngest. Actually, they're both too big to share a bed.

There's a T.V. in the sitting area, too. Here's the part where I longed for a higher partition. You have to keep the two television sets in sync, otherwise the jumble of crabbed noise will just annoy you. The other obvious option is to use a headphone or just turn off the other one.

I've stayed at F1 Hotel for a couple of times now, and I must say that their beds never fails to give me a good night's sleep. It has the level of comfort that I like - the just right kind of softness.

Phyllo-crusted Salmon with Okra Frites

I have to give props to Chef Decker Gokioco for revamping the dishes at F1 Hotel. For me, he has the best set to date!

I wasn't able to join my friends for lunch at the All Day Dining this time around because I had lunch with the in-laws. However, I made it to the wonderful dinner prepared by the talented chef and his team.

The Phyllo-crusted Salmon with Okra Frites with soy and sesame sauce was the night's stunner. It's one of of those full course dishes for me. I had it as an appetizer, main course, and dessert. I'd do it again if given the chance. The thin phyllo crust envelopes the rightfully seasoned salmon fillet before being crowned with crispy salmon skin chips and okra frites! I really liked it!

Second best was the Black Pepper Crabs! The meaty crabs are slapped with a rich, slighty-spicy-and-slightly-sweet sauce. The Marinated Crab Meat Salad with Nachos, as well as the Fish and Squid Churros with Tartare Sauce were just as flavorful.

Oh yeah, about the Mother's Day Retreat. From May 10 until May 17, 2017 you can treat your mom - who destroyed her body so that you can live - to an overnight stay at the City Suite! The stay includes the following:
